From an esoteric point of view your birth chart is a portrait of
your soul’s intention for this lifetime, the lessons to be learned,
qualities to develop, problems to be resolved, service to be rendered.
From that perspective, the choices one makes in one’s daily life have
reverberations that may last beyond even this lifetime. This report is written to help you clarify your lessons and goals,
illuminate your struggles, and encourage you to move in the direction
of your true purposes. The best to you on your journey…

Chapter 1: The Moon
The placement of the Moon in your birth chart is very significant
from a karmic perspective, as it indicates the accumulated karmic
tendencies, both positive and negative, that you carry from your past
incarnated experiences on earth.
While the Sun reveals your intended purposes and lessons for this
present life cycle, the MOON represents what you have already done and
developed, hence, what is instinctive and natural to you, and what you
tend to do over and over again. Your childhood is also reflected in the
Moon’s placement, as it is through those childhood circumstances that
any unresolved past-life issues are re-stimulated. Your subconscious
predisposition is indicated by the Moon’s position. It is the psychic
imprint of the past. The nodes of the Moon describe behavior patterns
from the past, as well as delineating a direction out of outworn or
overdone behaviors and habits.
Moon in Capricorn:
You instinctively respond to challenges or stress by suppressing
any emotions you have which might interfere with the job at hand, and
taking control of the situation in an unsentimental, no-nonsense sort
of way. You may become super responsible or throw yourself into your
work – anything to keep feelings of helplessness or other
“unacceptable” emotions at bay. “Don’t agonize – organize!” is your
motto.
Early in life, and in previous lifetimes, you learned through
circumstances not to expect others to take care of you, to rely on
yourself emotionally, and to stifle or neglect your own needs for care
and comfort, in order to survive. As a result you developed a certain
toughness and a disinclination to trust, an underlying cynicism, which
can interfere with your ability to establish emotional rapport and
intimacy with people. You want proof of another’s love or good will,
some tangible evidence of their loyalty and commitment and you may
“test” your friends or lover over a long period of time before you
surrender your defenses and allow yourself to be truly close to them.
Or you may care very much but, because your emotional self-control is
so deeply ingrained, may be unable to communicate and express it
openly, directly, warmly, with feeling. You may substitute symbols of
affection, gifts, or even money, for the real thing (being with the
person, touching, listening, sharing your feelings.) You fear
dependency, and may be intolerant of others’ lack of discipline,
emotional self-indulgence or neediness, and “babyish” behavior in
anyone, even little children. You were not allowed those sorts of
feelings, either because of life circumstances or due to a rather
critical, strict, authoritarian upbringing. For whatever reason you
absorbed the message that “life is a struggle”, “no one is going to
take care of me”, and possibly “I don’t deserve to have my needs
fulfilled”. Very likely the approval and love you received were not
unconditional, but contingent upon proper behavior, achievement, or
being responsible and not being a burden. It may be hard for you to
remember a time in your life when you were truly a child, carefree and
innocent.
Due to these subconscious imprints and beliefs about yourself, you
could experience a sort of chronic, low-grade depression, and a
tendency toward pessimism and negativity. You may feel a compulsion to
achieve in a material sense, in order to feel good about yourself. Or,
you may be comfortable in the role of protector and provider, offering
stability and security to others, but (once again) neglecting your own
needs to do so.
You can socially endure and forbear for long periods of time in
rather meager or difficult circumstances, due to past experiences of
deprivation and hardship. This may work to your benefit, for instance,
in the pursuit of some academic or professional goal, or in any
endeavor that requires denial of immediate gratification for the sake
of a long-range objective. In your emotional and personal life, too,
you are willing to hang in there through the hard times. However,
sometimes you will stay with something or someone because you are used
to subsisting on very little nourishment (emotional or otherwise) and
you cannot envision or accept the possibility of anything better for
yourself. Security is extremely important to you and you are willing
to sacrifice or forego much in order to maintain it. A great fear of
poverty and emotional or material lack underlies this even if you have
never really experienced such in your present lifetime. Memories of
such lack from your incarnational past are likely to continue to
influence you, unless you consciously change or “re-program” yourself
(splurge a little, challenge those old patterns). Along those same
lines, an overconcern with your reputation and public standing, proper
form, adhering to certain societal rules and standards, having approval
from the “right” people, ritualized etiquette, and so on, is deeply
embedded in you. You have learned to bow down to authority, and to
achieve a measure of security in return. Most likely, you expect others
to do the same. You can be emotionally dry, seemingly unfeeling or
detached, and, when pushed to the extreme, a very controlling
disciplinarian.
You would benefit from learning to relax, not to carry the weight
of the world on your shoulders, and that life is not all struggle, all
duty, all work.
North Node in Cancer:
In your incarnational past, your worldly ambitions, duties, or
responsibilities took precedence over you. Discipline and rules were
more important than emotion. Your growth direction now is to learn to
trust, feel, and give and receive nourishment, care, support, and
tenderness.
North Node in 7th house:
Your past tendency is so natural to you, so much a part of how you
are, that you probably do not think twice. Let others help bring out
your new attitude or growth direction; be willing to be a learner.
Selfishness and a deeply rooted “me first” attitude needs to give way
to a consciousness of “us” and/or what you can do with or for the other.
Moon Conjunct Venus:
Regardless of any traumas you may have experienced in the past,
you were also surrounded with a lot of love and affection which has
engendered in you a very kind, devoted, loving nature and a sweet
disposition. Your relationships with the women in your life are apt to
be a source of much happiness and blessings, also, because at a deep
level you understand and appreciate them, having (most likely) been
female often in your incarnational past.
You have a rather peace-loving, comfort-seeking nature which may
resist strenuous effort or discipline. You like to be pampered and may
look for a “sugar daddy” or “sugar mama” to ease your way.
Self-indulgence in sweets or pleasures is apt to be a habit also.
Chapter 2: The Sun
The Sun in your birth chart represents the primary creative thrust
for this lifetime, those qualities you are to develop (or further
develop) and express, and your current life focus. This may be in
harmony with your instincts and your emotional habits, or along
completely different lines. The Sun represents your conscious identity
in this lifetime.
Sun in Sagittarius:
Your path of soul development in this lifetime involves seeking
and seeing the big picture, and your ability to intuitively perceive
the interconnectedness of things in a larger pattern. You are driven
from within to get an overview and to search for universal laws and
principles, whether this is expressed as a compelling urge to travel
and see the world, a keen interest in religion, philosophy, or other
systems which purport to explain “how it all fits together”, or simply
a restless urge to experience as much of life as you can, (in order to
get as much of the whole picture as possible). This propensity to see
things as a whole rather than focusing on the component parts, is one
of your gifts. An example of this might be an interest in “holistic”
medicine, which acknowledges the interconnection of spirit, mind, and
body, and treats the whole person rather than focusing on one diseased
part of the anatomy. Or, perhaps, being able to see society as a whole,
and thus what future directions or trends are likely. At the least, it
enables you to keep a sense of perspective and a sense of humor when
“little things” go awry. Being innately attuned to a larger framework
and feeling yourself to be a part of it gives you a sense of
confidence, and faith that “everything will be all right in the long
run”. It also inclines you to take risks, to gamble, to try your luck,
because instinctively you know that there is something larger than
yourself buoying you up (whether or not you conceptualize it as life or
God or something else). This gives you a certain leeway to play with
life, to take chances.
At times, however, you can be so enamored of your abstract vision,
your view of the whole, your intuitive sense of possibilities and
potentials, that you miss what is right in front of you, including the
actual work involved in realizing that vision, or perhaps the real
people that might be effected. Your astuteness in the realm of
understanding principles and having the broad view is sometimes matched
by your ineptness and insensitivity when it comes to understanding and
relating to individual people. You tend to invest much in your belief
system, your convictions, your philosophy, and your ideals. Your
challenge is practicing what you preach, doing something with your
vision, and tempering your candor and truthfulness with compassion for
people’s limitations. You also need to guard against a certain
laziness or sloppiness regarding details, taking the easy way, or
depending too much on luck.
Your drive for enlarging your horizons and expanding your
understanding of life is often accompanied by a great need for personal
freedom and space, and a horror of being trapped, limited, fenced in,
or confined in any way at all. There is something spirited and free
and untamable in you, and for you to be happiest you must feel that
there is some adventure in your life, opportunities to go places
(literal or otherwise) that you have never gone before. The unknown,
the untried, the yet-to-be explored beckons you, and being tethered to
a routine or having to stay within certain known boundaries (budget,
location, diet, curriculum, whatever) goes against your grain. You can
discipline yourself, but discipline that is imposed is hard for you to
accept. Though often times you seem to be “luckier” than most people,
self-discipline is a crucial key to your success, otherwise, you can
easily get side-tracked from realizing your goals in life by all of the
other interesting possibilities, and your curiosity about the road not
taken. At your worst, you will procrastinate, and dream about all of
the glorious things you will do in the future, and fanaticize about
“how wonderful it will be” without attempting to bring any of these
dreams to fruition. Behind this is a fear that the “real-thing” will
not be as grand as the dream, and that your talent or potential is not
as great as you imagine. However, you may well be a late bloomer in
life. After having a wide variety of experiences and numerous
adventures, you are more apt to settle down and give your all to a
single meaningful pursuit. “Meaning” is the key word here. Deep within,
and whether or not you think of yourself in this way, your life is
really about a quest for meaning and this is what fuels your
restlessness and your curiosity. Discovering the meaning behind the
lesson, the purpose and the opportunity for growth is ultimately your
true focus in this lifetime and bringing that meaning into fuller
expression in the world you share with others.
Chapter 3: Rising Sign
The point that was on the eastern horizon at the moment of your
birth is called the ASCENDANT, or rising sign. While the Sun describes
your conscious direction and current life focus, and the Moon your
subconscious predisposition and past, the Ascendant indicates a way of
being that transcends and embraces past, present, and future. It
describes the way you engage and merge with the outer world and how you
bring through into life the energies depicted by the Sun, the Moon, and
the rest of your birth chart. Everything is filtered through the
Ascendant from an esoteric point of view. It indicates your soul’s
function and thus a key part of your destiny.
Sagittarius Rising:
Faith, belief and the ability to foresee and envision the future
or “what could be” are essential elements of your soul function. You
may well be ahead of your time or at the fore front of coming trends
and movements in the collective. You are a seeker, one who searches
for the overview, the larger pattern, or a broad, over-arching
philosophy of life – and also a teacher who conveys that vision or
broadcasts it in some way. Your ruling planet is Jupiter.
Sagittarius Rising and Jupiter in Aries:
Your Jupiter in Aries suggests that leadership, spearheading new
enterprises, and adventurously exploring new territory are part of your
soul function. Positivity and action are key qualities. However,
overblown enthusiasm, not knowing limits, and a lack of humility or of
follow through on your inspired plans can create non-fulfillment of
your greatest potential.
Chapter 4: Saturn, Your Achilles Heel
Karmically considered, the placement of Saturn in your birth chart
indicates where your energetic blockages, weaknesses and fears lie, and
the areas of your life where the most concentrated effort and
discipline will be required to master and overcome them. Yet it also
points to the aspects of life which can become your greatest strength
if you are willing to face your fears and difficulties honestly, and
work with them patiently.
Saturn in Aquarius
Your particular struggle has two faces. First, you can feel
alienated from the mainstream of society, unable to comfortably be a
part of things or to participate socially, disaffected and oppressed by
society’s rules or the prevailing order of things in the world. A
harsh social critic, you may feel like the lone-wolf, both longing for
and refusing acceptance, inclusion and approval from “the group”. Your
innate distrust of groups or crowds may prevent you from joining in
activities you would actually enjoy. Depending on other factors in
your chart, you are apt to feel either painfully isolated, or simply
aloof. You have an acute social conscience and are prone to feel
personally guilty for the collective’s mistakes, or to try to instill
guilt in others for the same. One negative tendency you also have is
to blame all of your own problems on the ills of society, the
corruption in the government, “Big Brother”, etc. You tend to focus on
the gloomiest aspect of the world scene, and to fear the worst.
The other side of the coin is a tendency to stifle your uniqueness
in order to fit in. Being acceptable and conforming may become overly
important to you, so much so that you intensely dislike anyone who
deviates from convention or is “weird” in any way. If you find that
this is the case, know that you are actually fighting an aspect of your
own inner self. You could also become a “joiner”, overly identified
with social causes to the neglect or determent of your other personal
interests or relations.
Saturn in 2nd house:
The arena of money, material assets and financial security is
where many of your challenges or blockages arise. It is not so much
that you are likely to be impoverished as that you fear you will be.
Acting from this contracted state, you may make poor financial
decisions, fail to take opportunities presented to you, or even act
against your own best interests and higher impulses wherever money
comes in to the picture. The Universe will not be very forgiving if
this is so. You are apt to pay heavily for mistakes you make (whether
practical or moral) in this area of your life. Any tendency toward
greed, stinginess, or unwillingness to share what you have will exact a
toll either on your body or your own financial success.
One of the essential lessons for you is to learn to appreciate the
true value of things. Having to work hard to earn your way, or
enduring periods knowing, then, that your worth is not dependent upon
“having” but on being, and that you can be happy in simplicity, you
will be free of the hold money or “security” has upon you.
Saturn Square Neptune:
Your psychic antennae seem particularly sensitive to the pain of
the world, and you are apt to take your spiritual and moral
responsibility to respond to this very seriously. However, you carry a
pattern of absorbing and taking on the burdens and suffering of the
world, and because of this you may struggle with pessimism and
discouragement, periodically becoming overwhelmed. Furthermore, your
imagination tends to amplify these problems so that your view of
reality can be rather sorrowful. It is important for you to learn to
use your imaginative faculties constructively, and also to recognize
that many of the nebulous worries you have are unfounded.
Past incarnations as monk, nun, ascetic, or ashramite during which
a worldly life was considered antithetical to inner development or
progress toward God continue to influence you. You may be hampered in
your material progress by devoting yourself entirely to the spiritual
life. A persistent desire to retreat from the world and leave all
superficial distractions behind stems from this also. One of your
karmic lesson is to integrate the inner or spiritual life with your
ordinary existence.
Chapter 5: The Hard Aspects
The following is a description of your MAJOR LIFE CHALLENGES, both
in terms of energies you are to learn to develop and express in a
positive way, and those which are the result of struggles and
unresolved karmic issues which you have brought into this life.
Mars Square Jupiter:
You have broad, expansive goals and will not be content with
humble achievements or success on a small scale. Enthralled with the
joy of the conquest, your desires and enthusiasm may gallop away with
you. You often do not know when you have had or done enough. Many
things do come easily to you–athletics, leadership, creative efforts
of all kind–and you are apt to have King Midas’s touch, especially
early in life. However, this may lead to overconfidence or inflated
expectations later on. In your work you are apt to be an overachiever
with an overemphasis on physical and/or sexual adventure. Once again,
not knowing when to stop or say no can be your downfall.
Jupiter Quincunx Uranus:
Part of what your present incarnation is about is being an
instrument through which the “new” is given birth into the world. You
carry dreams of broad social and political change and/or a spiritual
awakening in the collective. Through your choices, beliefs and
actions, as well as your very way of being, you encourage these
positive changes in the world around you. Still, from time to time,
you are apt to have difficulties with those who are invested in
maintaining control, stability, order, convention, or the status quo.
Individualistic freedom is very important to you. You can not or will
not fit in to any formalized or closed system, be it the church,
academia, or any other group you consider rigid. Over enthusiastic
zeal can also work against you at times.
Uranus is Retrograde:
All of the above is complicated by the fact that in prior times,
you experienced great personal instability as a result of impersonal,
collective impulses toward change (during a time of revolution,
political upheaval, war, etc.). You may well have been an agent of
these movements, with a lingering inclination toward radical solutions,
extremism, flauntingly disregarding social mores. Or you may have
become a reactionary, fearing and resisting all reforms or departures
from the “main stream”. It is thus difficult for you to be balanced
and fair towards any eccentricities (in others or even in yourself). A
misuse of science or technology, perhaps participating in experiments
which were harmful to you or others, is also indicated. Thus, you may
have a deep distrust of or an attraction/repulsion toward science and
technological advancement.
Uranus Conjunct Pluto:
You and many of your generation have a group karma that involves
planetary change and awakening through upheaval and disruption.
Turbulent forces in the collective mind/body/soul of your group may be
expressed as violence, extreme opposition to real or perceived
oppression, radical severance from all old conditioning. There is a
powerful urge for change and revolution in this pattern. Becoming a
positive agent of change rather than a negative reactionary or
extremist is your challenge.
Pluto is Retrograde:
These issues are further complicated by the fact that in a prior
life or lives you experienced a terrible betrayal, and may even have
been tortured or put to death when you claimed power (social, political
or spiritual). You may have misused power or employed Machiavellian
strategies in which many suffered. Whether you were a perpetrator or a
victim of such abuses, deep fears were engendered at that time, of
being powerful or of people in power who would crush you if you display
your strengths. An unconscious desire for revenge may motivate you and
prevent you from healing. Letting go of this may require deep inner
work and some kind of therapeutic energetic release of the grief you
hold.
Chapter 6: Soft Aspects
The following is a description of your GIFTS and STRENGTHS which
can help you work with your major life challenges. These are abilities
and qualities of heart, mind, and soul which are quite natural to you.
You probably take them for granted. Because these represent the lines
of least resistance for you, you may rely too much upon them at times;
hence, there are some cautions suggested. Still, these are the areas
where good flows into your life and/or where you have considerable
inner resources.
Mercury Trine Pluto:
You have a gift for intellectual strategy and solving mysteries
and puzzles. Intense mental focus and concentration, combined with
your acute perceptions, enables you to do “magic” when you set your
mind to it, and your wizardry in some specialized field may be well
known.
You are deeply interested in what lies below the surface in any
situation or person, and have an instinctive grasp of these subtleties.
You may, for instance, use your hands to perceive the auric field,
discover imbalances, and transmit healing energies to the one in need.
The deep study of esoteric subjects, as well as the development of
your mental powers, is natural to you, for you have pursued these areas
in your incarnational past. This knowledge can be reawakened in you
rather easily, and you are likely to be a teacher and/or transmitter of
the understandings you have gained.
Mercury Sextile Neptune:
An innate understanding of spiritual and metaphysical principles,
and a direct perception of the inner world (via intuition, clairvoyance
or clairaudience, etc.) enables you to speak of or teach others these
subjects. Your conscious mind links easily and readily to other
dimensions. This is something you probably take for granted and it may
happen without any conscious effort or intent on your part. You are
like a “cosmic radio” and you may pick up certain vibrations and the
feelings of others without realizing you are doing so. You also have a
sensitive nervous system which responds quickly to stimuli, so you
require a harmonious atmosphere in order to function at your best.
Your psychic and/or musical, artistic,
and poetic sensibilities are pronounced due to prior development in
these arenas.
Mars Trine Uranus:
In previous incarnational experiences you have been a
revolutionary, a freedom fighter or engaged in activities that required
considerable audacity, courage, and willingness to forego
conventionality. Because of this you may be somewhat addicted to
high-intensity excitement.
On the positive side, you are unusually capable of handling all
sorts of challenges and emergencies. You act quickly and decisively in
response to a crisis, and can take up the sword and execute drastic
measures if necessary. You are at your best in moments of danger, and
may gravitate toward or unconsciously seek them out. While it is
likely that you have moderated the intense willfulness and inability to
cope with any sort of restrictions, you still need to be blazing new
trails. This in fact is one of your gifts, as is your high level of
vital energy.
Neptune Sextile Pluto:
Collectively, this is a time in history that enables you and those
of your generation to advance spiritually through a heightened
awareness of the invisible and intangible realms. A rebirth of
spirituality through direct contact with higher forces is occurring in
this generation. This contact takes many, many forms, including a
compelling interest in life beyond death. You may or may not have a
personal involvement with this, as it is a group karma rather than a
primarily personal one.
